At the start of every episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the superstar treats her viewers to a song. Sometimes, these “Kellyoke” segments feature hits her fans want to hear her sing, while others are just tunes she adores and wants to make her own.
In a recent episode, Clarkson must have taken a request from her 6-year-old daughter, River Rose, because she covered “The Scientist” by Coldplay, one of River’s favorite bands.
The little girl’s crush on lead singer Chris Martin is well-documented… and completely adorable! Something tells us she absolutely loved hearing her mom’s take on the popular 2003 song.
After all, Clarkson is one of the most talented singers out there – and she totally nailed it! Wearing an eye patch to heal an infection after getting something in her eye, she took the stage with grace and poise and delivered an unforgettable performance.
